Organizing Your Pantry

These tips will keep your pantry clean and neat, but also organized and free of clutter.

  • To keep your pantry clean and organized you should put the things you use on an everyday basis within easy access.
  • Keep like with like, such as putting teas and coffees or baking ingredients together. That way the item you need will be easily found while you are cooking.
  • Place rice, flour, cereal, sugar and any other dry ingredients into clean, clear containers that have tight lids and can’t spill easily to protect them from insects and mice. Items that you do not use often, such as party and holiday items, can be placed on the top shelf.
  • Use a hanging divider on the door to store small items such as wax paper, foil and other items that don’t take up too much space.
